DESCRIPTION:Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon is a fundraiser for ABC House i
 n Albany.  ABC House is a 501©(3) non profit organization which provide
 s a safe\, child friendly environment where children who are suspected o
 f having been abused or neglected can come to receive a neutral\, object
 ive\, comprehensive assessment. Assessments may include a head to toe me
 dical check up and/or an interview conducted by specially trained and ex
 perienced individuals. \n\nLast year\, the Runaway Pumpkin Half Marathon
  was held on Saturday\, October 29 and was a hit with everyone involved\
 , according to feedback received from a runner and volunteer survey.  Th
 e event brought in $40\,000+ to support services for local abused childr
 en.\n\nMore than 700 runners and 150 volunteers were involved.  The majo
 rity of runners came from the Willamette Valley\, but many traveled from
  other states including California\, Washington and Colorado.\n\nTags:\n
